2009 Year of Astronomy

2009 was proclaimed International Year of Astronomy by Unesco. From 1 January, the International Astronomical Union (IAU) encourages everyone to take a good resolution: to think at least once in the sky in the year! To help, some 135 countries have united behind the IAU and UNESCO on the occasion of the 400th anniversary of the use of the telescope by Galileo. Now you can see hundreds of events that all participants had prepared on the French and international sites of the World Year, and the door to the stars, the Internet portal made by the French Association of Astronomy .Throughout 2009, as well as articles on the scientific revolutions that have occurred four centuries ago, Astronomy and Space will presents you alot of new discoveries in this field follow us.
